Feels Like Fall

It's finally fall here in San Diego and there's no better way to start off our first autumnal weekend then with Thai food, wine and some shopping.

Amarin in Hillcrest

If you've never been to the Huge Frocking Sale at Frock You Vintage, it is a must anytime you find yourself in San Diego on one of these weekends. We've been lucky enough to sell at it a few times over the years and it's always a gas! Kitschy weirdness at it's best..and we mean that in the best way possible!

 Kenny is always looking sharp.

This Michelle Obama tote is obviously not vintage, but it made us smile.

Our presents: 60s make-up bags and a gorgeous fringed burnout piano shawl for our future studio space.

Friday ends with a walk to Happy Hour.

Have a magical weekend!

A Current Affair

It was our first time attending A Current Affair. We met so many amazing ladies and drooled over some exquisite vintage.

Yes, we wear our own designs.
Do you have a shirt that you really love,
One that you feel so groovy in ?
You don't even mind if it starts to fade,
That only makes it nicer still.
I love my shirt, I love my shirt,
My shirt is so comfortably lovely.

Guilty Pleasures

Everything in moderation? We didn't really subscribe to that on this night. Sometimes you've just gotta eat a lot of cheese, drink a lot of wine, and watch some really bad tv.

Easy Baked Feta

You'll Need:
1 or 2 blocks of Feta (depending on how many you're feeding)
Sliced Garlic
Chopped Red Onion
Capers
Fresh Oregano
Sundried Tomatoes (in oil)
Red Pepper Flakes
Fresh Cracked Pepper

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Place the blocks of feta together on foil. Layer on the ingredients to your liking. Wrap it up tight and place it on a baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes per block of feta. Unwrap and enjoy with a sliced baguette! YUM YUM!

And for dessert: Strawberry Shortcake!

Cool cherry cream, nice apple tart
I feel your taste all the time we're apart
Coconut fudge really blows down those blues
But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle

The West Coast has the Sunshine

Living 25 minutes from the border, there’s definitely no shortage of authentic Mexican eateries. Tucked away in the charming community of University Heights you'll find our hands down favorite, El Zarape. Not only is the food AMAZING, but the design detail is so rich with texture and cultural flavor. Today we stuck with our usual, black bean and cheese burritos with rice and guacamole in a whole wheat tortilla. After we soaked up the sun with a walk to a nearby bluff.

This is what our lunch breaks look like.

The West coast has the sunshine
And the girls all get so tanned
I dig a french bikini on Hawaii island
Dolls by a palm tree in the sand

I been all around this great big world

And I seen all kinds of girls
Yeah, but I couldn't wait to get back in the states
Back to the cutest girls in the world

I wish they all could be California Girls
